Another big week for CG!

The CG Football team defeated Bluffton last week 48-38 to win the NWC championship outright. The bulldogs clinched their 3rd straight conference title and 26th straight conference win. They earned the #4 seed in the region and will have a bye this week. They will take on the winner of #5 Gibsonburg vs. #12 Morral Ridgedale on Friday, November 7th at Clymer Stadium.

The girls’ soccer team competed on Tuesday night at Regionals. They came up short in a hard-fought game vs. Mansfield Christian 2-1. The soccer team ended the season 15-3-1 and have made it to Regionals in consecutive seasons. Great season ladies!

Boys and Girls Cross Country will compete at the State XC meet on Saturday at Fortress Obetz. The girls will run at 10:00 with the boy’s race following at 10:40. Good luck to both teams, your school and community will be cheering for you.

The CG Marching Band finishes the week with their performance at the OMEA State competition at Piqua on Sunday. The band will perform at 4:30 p.m. Good luck to Mr. Lozer, Mr. Dubler and the band. Bring home that Superior rating.

United Way Penny Drive

Columbus Grove students competed last week in a United Way penny drive. We were able to raise $1171 to donate to the United Way. The 5th grade brought in the most change with $252.45. Great job Bulldogs!

Purchasing Tickets for Post Season Tournaments

Bulldog fans are reminded that all tournament events for our fall teams will accept cash at the gate. Passes issued by the Columbus Grove athletic department cannot be accepted for OHSAA-sponsored tournament events. Please note that ticket prices for tournament games are set by the Ohio High School Athletic Association, not the Columbus Grove Athletic Department.
