Spotlight Athlete 12/12

Athlete Spotlight: Collin Sautter
Collin Sautter has been wrestling since he was little, and the sport has become a big part of who he is. What he enjoys most isn’t just competing — it’s being with his team. The energy in the room, the support, and the bond they have is what keeps him pushing to get better every day.
Outside of wrestling, Collin stays busy with CYO, basketball, and 4-H. Balancing all of that takes work, but he brings the same effort and attitude to everything he does.
This season, his personal goal is simple: keep improving. For his team, he’s aiming high, hoping they can bring home both the NWC and sectional titles.
And a fun fact about Collin? When he’s not on the mat, he’s taking care of his pigs — something that definitely sets him apart from most athletes.
Athlete Spotlight: Mya Verhoff
Mya Verhoff has been playing basketball since she was little, and the sport has been a constant part of her life ever since. What she loves most about the game is simply being with her team — the energy, the friendships, and the feeling of competing together.
Mya is involved in a wide range of activities beyond basketball, including golf, track, Leo Club, and Student Council. Her drive to participate and lead shows up both on and off the court.
This season, Mya has her sights set on some big goals. Personally, she wants to help her team win state again, and as a group, they’re aiming to capture both the PCL and NWC titles.
A fun fact about Mya: her favorite color is red.
And as for her future plans, Mya intends to attend Rhodes to pursue a degree in nursing.
